Hurricane Landing is located near the eastern end of Sardis Lake's southern shoreline. The area offers access to some of the best fishing on Sardis Lake.
Hurricane Landing offers boat launching at high and low water levels. There is a 15 site campground in the area, a pavilion with capacity for approximately 100 people and a small playground.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reminds all visitors that a face mask is required in all USACE buildings and facilities. Masks must also be worn outdoors on USACE-managed lands and recreation areas if physical distancing cannot be met. Visitors actively engaged in water-related activities with a clear and immediate risk of masks becoming wet may temporarily forgo wearing masks. These activities may include but are not limited to: swimming, waterskiing, riding on personal watercraft, kayking, and other boating related activities. Physical distancing must always be maintained whenever possible.
Visitors are expected to be aware of general park rules.

Amplified Music and Bouncy Houses are not allowed without prior approval from Sardis Lake Field Office.
Sardis Lake contains over 98,000 acres of land and water in Panola, Lafayette, and Marshall counties in the rolling hills of north Mississippi. Hurricane Landing has beautiful Osage Orange (Bodock) trees that add a unique character to this special place.
The city of Oxford, Mississippi and the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) are a twenty minute drive away, as is the historic town of Holly Springs and I-22.
Outdoor opportunities abound at Sardis Lake. Sardis is consistently ranked as one of the top crappie fishing locations in the country and is also popular for catfish and bass. Hunters will find deer, turkey, squirrel, waterfowl, and rabbit are plentiful in hunting areas around the lake.
Sardis Lake also offers beautiful views for sightseeing, and trails for those who love to hike or mountain bike.

From I-22 take the Hwy. 7 south exit at Holly Springs, MS. Follow Hwy. 7 south for approximately 18 miles and turn right onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area.
From Hwy. 278 in Oxford, MS take the Hwy. 7 north exit and follow Hwy. 7 north for approximately 10.5 miles. Turn left onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area.
