Need to Know
- No early arrival dates granted.
- All campground regulations apply.
- Maximum occupancy of the group site is 40 people.
- Recreational vehicles are permitted, provided the total number of vehicles does not exceed 10 and all vehicles fit in the campsite parking area with enough room remaining to allow emergency vehicles and park staff to drive in and out. A truck and trailer count as two vehicles. Vehicles over 27 feet long will not have room to turn around.
- Additional parking for the group campsite may be available at the amphitheater.
- Generator hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Use of fuel burning stoves is encouraged. Fires may be built only in the grills and pits provided. Please fully extinguish fires.
- Wood gathering is prohibited within the park. Firewood may be purchased at the Gifford House or at local stores during the summer season. Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more
- Washing dishes or clothing is not permitted at water faucets or in the restrooms. Gray water must be collected and dumped into the utility sink.
- All pets must be leashed (6 feet or less in length) at all times. Pets are not permitted on the trails or in the backcountry and must not be left unattended.
- Feeding or spotlighting wildlife is prohibited.
- You may pick fruit in orchards posted as open. There is no charge for fruit consumed within the orchard but all fruit taken out must be weighed and paid for. A scale and self-pay station are provided near each open orchard.
